Our Story
AlpRoads was founded by a team of Alpine enthusiasts who spent years travelling between airports and ski resorts and grew frustrated with the available options. Shared shuttle buses that stopped at four hotels before yours. Taxi meters that climbed as the motorway traffic thickened. Hire cars that seemed straightforward until the first mountain pass in a snowstorm.
We started with a small fleet and a single principle: the price you see when you book is the price you pay, your vehicle is yours alone, and your driver knows the mountain roads.
From that beginning, AlpRoads grew through word of mouth – repeat guests, families who book every season, corporate ski trips that needed certainty above all else. We expanded our airport coverage, deepened our resort network, and invested in the monitoring and operations technology that lets us track flights and manage transfers across multiple countries simultaneously.
The founding principle, however, hasn’t changed.

Driver Standards
Every AlpRoads driver must meet and maintain the following requirements before carrying a single passenger:
Requirements
- Full commercial driving licence valid in the country of operation
- Minimum five years’ professional driving experience
- Alpine driving certification – assessed winter driving competency, mountain pass navigation, and low-visibility conditions
- Background-checked and insured to commercial passenger-transport standards
- Multilingual – our driver pool collectively covers English, German, French, Italian, and several other languages; you can specify a language preference at booking
